 <title>metric: import user defined metric from file</title>

 <description>&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; go to Metric definition panel&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; clone Feature.Unused features  as Feature.My Unused features&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; click on Import metric  (last button on the toolbar)&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; Backup User-defined Metrics into a file  c:\ud_metrics01.xml&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; remove the new user-defined metric [Feature.My Unused features]&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; restart estudio, on the same project&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; go to Metric definition panel&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; click on Import metric  (last button on the toolbar)&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; load file c:\ud_metrics01.xml&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; select metrics&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; click on &amp;quot;Import Selected Metrics&amp;quot;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; check the metric is loaded and can be used.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

    &lt;li&gt; Metric Archive&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; enter the path for a xml file (archive)&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; For each input domain kind do the following&lt;ul&gt;
        &lt;li&gt; (input: target, library, assembly, cluster, folder, class, feature)&lt;/li&gt;
        &lt;li&gt; select all predefined metrics&lt;/li&gt;
        &lt;li&gt; run [&amp;gt;] the evaluation&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;/ul&gt;&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;(for instance  &#039; = 123456&#039; which is not likely to be satisfied) &lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Enable the &amp;quot;check defined warnings when metric are recalculated&amp;quot; &amp;lt;-- don&#039;t forget this&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;run it again.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;pink background should be used to show violated warning.&lt;/li&gt;
